You might be better off in the More Sports Board with this. I didn’t know he had a lung transplant. That’s probably why he looked like he was 110 and not 70.

Already a thread on the MSB.
Lung transplant was 8 months ago. Kidney failure, of some sort, seems like it could have been the issue.
He supposedly had been progressing.
Being burned alive was probably the cause of the aging you speak of.

One of the best movies I've seen that was about him.

I'm sure the Mercedes team will suffer with his demise, especially Hamilton.

Or the fact that he was burned alive for close to a minute and was in a coma after that...but I guess it could have been the lung transplant that he had 8 months ago. Retard

He was still quite active in the sport.

When I was a kid, Reader's Digest had a story about his wreck and recovery. Was an awesome story to read.

Both really fricked Fernando Alonso over.

Damn! I had just read this morning that he was on dialysis. He was one tough SOB! He will be missed in the F1 paddock.

Wow. He was still involved with F1 until the very end. Sad to see a legend go.

Wasn’t he the one that convinced Lewis to leave McLaren for Mercedes?
