Glad I got to see him in concert years ago at Mudbugs. He will be missed.

I’ve had the pleasure to see MG play live several times. Dude was great on the keyboard and could charm and joke with the audience like a pro between songs.

He fell off a friends porch a few years ago and the last time I saw him he couldn’t play the piano like he used to but he still could put on a show. RIP to a legend. Glad my grandparents introduced me to that music.

Hell of a run. Louisiana legend.

Gilley's dad use to drive a taxi in Ferriday. He'd drive us from the motel to where we worked.

Every now and then, someone comes to you… and somehow you know… a dream has just come true.

Maybe maybe not. You take that chance.

Hell, Pam even told him to come back anytime he wants.

Partied with some chicks from StinkaDena (Pasedena) where Gilley's was at. Never stepped foot in the place, instead went to some Rock clubs in downtown Houston.

Jerry Lee is the middle of the 3 "famous" cousins. Brother Swaggart is the oldest (March 1935), the Killer was September 1935 and Gilley was born in 1936.
