RIP.

I had many nights spent having him serve me back in the day. Sad day.

THE BEST

Especially after a night of drinking then eating a cheeseburger... It's a shame that place never got a lot of recognition... Maybe it was better that way

Nobody, I knew of, did that before Marvin.
I'm sure it was done. But he was the best.
He was sneaky with it.

Very sad to read this. It's been forever since I made it to the Grill but I always tried to go when Marvin was there.

We always lose the good ones way too soon.

Would go there every morning after exams in high school and he always served us. Would always tell us good luck when sending us on our way with freezes. That man was Camellia Grill.

The fact that both Melvin and Marvin are gone make me really sad...

A massive "word" and dap to those two

Yep.

The pay must be nice and it must be a pretty good gig all things considered. Seems like a large percentage of their staff stays there for decades. I can count on one hand the number of times I've eaten there and seen an unfamiliar face behind the counter.

I never had the pleasure, but my heart goes out to him, his family, colleagues, and everyone he touched. Sounds like the world is a worse place this morning without him.
