But also if you ever hear any clips of the whatever podcast, they sometimes have porn stars on, and you can tell in a matter of minutes that they are all completely broken inside.

True.. im starting to wonder, since we all know that the suicide rate in the military is at epidemic levels- if the per capita rate of suicides in porn is even higher than in the military.. in any case, we know that both the military and porn screw people up beyond what is acceptable .

Kind of true and kind of false. My cousin went to school with a girl who had a famous run in porn.
She was kind of dumb and had an addictive personality. Never did well in school, dated losers, drank a lot before she hit 18. Doing porn basically poured gasoline on it.

Porn is like any other profession in the world, some people are terribly damaged and others go on to live fulfilling lives. I think it’s frowned upon to expose their real identities but I know of at least two very famous porn stars that got married and live normal lives, I think one has 4 kids.

I mean I'm a lawyer, and of professionals, we have insanely high rates of alcoholism, depression, suicide, psychological disorders, etc.
Porn, especially in the past, was an avenue for broken women...often sexually abused women. Even if they didn't go into porn, these women were likely to suffer from major psychological issues. Porn (and the associated lifestyle) likely accelerated it, but it's the underlying issues that were the real problems.

You’re saying they went on to “live normal lives”, but they basically had to bury their past lives to do that. That’s not a “normal profession” and it underscores just one of the issues with this “industry”.

This is true of any high stress career/job/position. People deal with stress different ways.
