quote:

Jeff Beck, among the most innovative and certainly the most unpredictable of ’60s guitar heroes, has died. He was 78.

“On behalf of his family, it is with deep and profound sadness that we share the news of Jeff Beck’s passing. After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he peacefully passed away yesterday,” reads a statement from his rep. “His family ask for privacy while they process this tremendous loss.”

I saw him in ATL with Carlos Santana at Centennial Park a few days before the olympic park bomb went off, the bomb they tried to pin on the pud security guard who ended up suing the shite out of the AJC, CNN, and FBI, but died of pudness before he actually got paid off.

Everytime someone mentions Jeff Beck, I think of that poor patsy security guard that was actually the hero of the whole situation.

having to share the stage with Johnny Depp must have pushed him over the edge

People get ready
There's a train a-coming
You don't need no baggage
You just get on board
All you need is faith
To hear the diesels humming
Don't need no ticket
You just thank the Lord

Always thought it was cool that the band was called the Jeff Beck Group but he didn’t sing. Lead singer was Rod Stewart.

He was probably the most under appreciated of the 60’s British guitar gods, and maybe even the best.

He also gave Jimmy Page the Fender Telecaster on which JP recorded Led Zeppelin I.
