I posted the link several pages ago. It is truly impressive. As great as the Metallica version is to represent the rage, I feel more of the guys despiration in Chris's version.

Haven't read the thread. Was their foul play involved?

It sadly appears to be Cornell on Cornell crime.

News reports indicate he hung himself hours after playing a concert in Detroit.

Very weird that he would take his life right after a show on tour and nothing seemingly off. I wonder if he took some drug that made him have a crazy thought or reaction?

Sounds like something seemed "off" after all. Sad.

Vedder won't make it to New Year's. Gen Xers in general are going out in a blaze of glory. I think it is up to the young Millennials to fix things. We are out of gas.

I made it to the Soundgarden and NIN show a couple of years ago. I was surprised at the time that Soundgarden wasn't playing last.

I'm guessing that Sirius/XM will be replaying that Town Hall with Cornell from the past year or so. He mentioned during the interview being a huge fan of Prince and played an acoustic version of Prince's 'Nothing Compares to You' (made popular by Sinead O'Connor).

Wife and I saw him perform at the Blumenthal Theater in Charlotte, NC last summer. Unbelievable talent. Selfishly, would have liked to see him perform solo again.

Shameless bump. That man's voice will transcend generations...first Weiland, now him.

It's been sad times for the music world lately, & there is a huge talent void that can't fill it.

I blame money & Guitar Hero for these woes

Come on. His voice may have stood out.....but it's not like you can compare him to bands like Metallica, RHCP, Pearl Jam or STP.

Um, yes you can because his voice was on another level.

Plus Metallica is absolute dog shite.

LOL at you. Nothing Soundgarden or Audioslave has done will come close to Metallica.

It is obvious you dont know how to read music.

Yeah, it's so obvious. You're a musical genius. How could anyone disagree with you, oh perfect one? I anxiously await your introduction into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.
