You can move into a dinky hotel room and give up your income anytime you want. No need to wait for God to do it for you.

I hope you don't believe this. He is worth far more than that.

Such a good scam, can't hate the player though.

That's probably just his net worth not including the "church".

The point still stands, and as another poster stated...he just screams "scum bag" with is appearance alone. My grandmother seems obsessed with him, and I always have to remind her how he uses the church funds. He lives in a damn compound.

What part of him having such a home isn't an extreme display of gluttony? Why would he ever need a home half that size?

His sermons are based on prosperity. That's how they get the viewers, they saw God rewards those with prosperity who do good deeds and give money to the church.

It's contradictory to the bible, but hey I think less than 10% of Christians have read the bible cover to cover anyway.

People love to take this quote out of context but they never mention the parts where Jesus says that his followers should be wealthy to show God's love and favor.

The wealthy part is down, now what fraction of that wealth are they using to "show God's love and favor" ?

Exactly, he is claiming that they will get prosperous by... well.... making him more prosperous.

My grandmother used to watch him because she didn't come away feeling bad about herself... but when she'd watch say... Adrian Rogers, she'd get convicted. I told her... if what Osteen is preaching isn't convicting you, then he isn't preaching anything worth listening to.

Napolean... not to hijack (but I am for a second)... if our icemaker ice all freezes together in the glass the second I put water or coke over it, does that mean the freezer is too cold or not cold enough? It just started a few weeks ago. I don't like it. (I THINK you are the right guy for that question, if not, tell me)

How about that crazy old man from the 700 Club that wanted to kill Hugo Chavez? He's gotta be doing well.

Eta: Found this after a quick search

Pat Robertson is estimated to be worth anywhere from $200 million to $1 billion. Given that he sold International Family Entertainment to Fox in 1997 for $1.9 billion, my guess is, his net worth is quite a bit more than $200 million. And then, there's his diamond mine.Mar 24, 2014

Hmm. I've listened to his message a handful of times and found it to be very positive and uplifting, not an ounce of condemnation or judgment. Not sure how or why you've developed the conclusion you have. I thought that what secularists hated was the whole "hell, fire and brimstone" bit. ETA: he is even disliked by many religious leaders by promoting a watered down version of the gospel.

While it may be a legitimate question, it seems very disingenuous in nature.

Seems like black people will believe anything...

Any wonder why they still are hating on the white man? Belief...indoctrinated by race-baiting black pastors.

I'll be honest, I've never heard of this problem before. A combo freezer in the kitchen should be between 0 and 9 degrees Fahrenheit. A stand alone freezer should be between -20 and -5 degrees.

I am trying to grasp what your saying. The ice is not stuck together in the bin (that would be a sign of too long of defrost cycles or too warm a freezer) instead it sticks together after room temperature liquid is put on it?

I looked this up and got this.

quote:

When you put the ice cubes in, the temperature of the cubes is (much) below freezing temperature. The drink in the glass is above freezing temperature. The interface between the ice and the liquid (the surface of the ice cube) is cooled by the ice cube, but heated by the liquid. The ice cube heats up in this process and the liquid cools down in this process (which is the main reason why you put the cubes in your drinks anyway).

Usually the liquid wins this competition and the ice cube starts shrinking. However, at places where two ice cubes are very close together, the liquid in between the cubes cools very fast (as it is cooled from two sides and cannot easily be replaced by new, warmer, liquid since it is contained between two walls of ice). At these places, the ice cube is able to win and starts expanding. The liquid close to the cubes therefore freezes, forming a bridge.

Note that bridges have the highest probability to form if the ice cubes come from a very cold freezer and if your drink is not too warm.

So I guess it's too cold, maybe change the settings up a couple of notches. It's an issue I've never ran into before though./
