Oh yeah, we're gonna shake it up! After a six year absence, beloved fitness guru Richard Simmons is "back" to help you get into shape during quarantine.
Yet the 71-year-old exercise mogul — who is so reclusive that his absence sparked the popular podcast Missing Richard Simmons in 2017 — has "still not decided when or if he'll make a return to the spotlight," TMZ reports. Instead, beginning about three weeks ago, Simmons' YouTube and Twitter accounts started sharing vintage workout routines, marking their first activity since February 2014.
"We have had an overwhelming request for Richard to return in some way as a comfort to all dealing with the pandemic," a representative explained to Fox News on Friday. "We thought we would start by re-releasing some workouts and other inspirational content on his [YouTube] channel. Richard is very touched by the outreach."

He seems like a really nice, genuine guy.
Definitely type of person we need nowadays.
He's an N.O. native as well.

He was great on Letterman. He always made Dave visibly uncomfortable.

Loved him on the Stern show. I can hear him screaming for Gary. Ga-REEEE!
Once ran into Richard Simmons at Plantation Coffee. Miss that place.

Is it possible for Richard Simmons to actually get gayer? Watch that angel dance move of his. I don’t even know what to say.

You just have to admire this guy. He looks like your average guy (besides the 'fro) but he made a living off of creating fitness videos. Not just A living, but a GREAT living.
Richard Simmons is a damn legend in Louisiana

Poor guy has some real mental problems. Hopefully he’s doing better now.
He was really messed up for a while and wouldn’t even go out in public. He was a mainstay on Letterman over the years and declined being a guest on one of the last few shows.

No shite. There are plenty of jokes to go around but he seemed to be a real nice person who helped a lot of people.
He was damn funny on letterman.

I never thought I'd say this, but I remember a time when Richard Simmons leading aerobics was a much better time.
