Who doesn't think of this when you hear Moving In Stereo?

Got my emotions in motion hearing this. Loved the Cars as a kid. One of my favorite band from the 80's

I saw them in Detroit in 1980. They actually were the warm up for Supertramp!

That sucks. I have been playing Let's Go and Since You're Gone in my rotation lately. Underrated band.

Those bands, in that time, in that city.. that’s very rock n roll.

Ben Orr sang about 1/2 of their songs

It seemed that way because Orr was lead on some of their biggest hits, but Ocasek sang lead on the majority.

Ocasek was also the main songwriter. I think he picked Ben to sing lead on songs he thought had a chance to be a hit or needed a strong vocalist.

Got a little road trip tomorrow. Gonna all Cars for 2.5 hours

Bye Bye Love
Dangerous Type
Just What I Needed
Strap Me In
Heartbeat City
You Are The Girl
All Mixed Up
Since I Held You

Just a few of my favorites off the top of my head.

Got a lot of great memories to go with that awesome music.

RIP Ric. Tell Ben we miss him, too.

I was not a big fan of The Cars back in the 80s when I was in college. I did like some of their music but I didn't think they were "great".

The last 5 or 6 years though, their music has really grown on me. Good stuff.

We've lost some good ones from the 80s in the last year or so.

Mark Hollis - Talk Talk
Pat Dinizio - The Smithereens

Makes me fear getting older.
