The dress code for the bars in Tigerland screams “no black men allowed.”
Can you imagine the amount of damage Justin Vincent would have done on the field if he wasn't allowed in Tigerland and Bogie's?

Why should I believe a bunch of openly racist anonymous forum posters over a college newspaper
You shouldn't. You shouldn't believe the dozens of first hand accounts because then you might misplace you victum card.... And we can't have that happen

Hmm, a place I've been to with black people several times.

The BR city bar isn't the biggest fan of black people. They're quick to tell black people no because of their clothes

Of course a douchebag like you goes to Mike's

I'm pretty sure you have. Black guys with some white people? Come on in.
Black guys with black people... Oh sorry we're at full capacity...

Trying so hard, failing like always.

If I bring my classy light skinned private schooled black girlfriend to Tigerland would she have any problem getting inside the bars?

It's been like this since the late 90s. We just have way more sensitive pussies running around the world these days. Don't like it? Go open your own fricking bar or move the frick out of 'Merica.
Yep but we have to worry about everyone's sensitive feelings these days. Same BS going on with Gaslamp in Houston.
Don't like the way they do business? Don't fricking go.
Same attitude I have about any sort of public accommodation law for private businesses.

About 15 years ago Dublins wouldn't let me in bc of my clothes. I'm white. Bc I didn't have a collared shirt on.

I love how they just recycle articles. I feel like they had this exact "controversy" all 5 years of my undergraduate career.

Says the chad that goes to mikes AND City bar
All my suspicions about you were right

I worked at a Tigerland bar for two years. The white trash that came in from the outlying parishes was just as bad if not worse than some of the blacks that would come in. A private business can set any dress code they want. I'm sure the person who wrote this article is probably offended by Galatoire's requiring men to wear a jacket.

Yep. Those are the only two places in the world I've been to. Maybe one day I'll go to the super cool places you go.

Don't dress like an idiot and you won't have a problem
