Just returned home from spending New Years Eve in Dallas and walked in to find my house to be 108 degrees inside. Apparently the heat got stuck running for several days. I left the thermostat on heat and set to 60.

Any ideas what went wrong? Why didnt the heat shut off once it reached 60?

Open your fridge and freezer and leave them wide open. That oughta do it.

I awoke this morning to find a car had run off the side of the road, narrowly missed my vehicle and crashed into and knocked down a telephone pole which narrowly missed my bedroom.

No idea how I didn't wake up when it happened. The cleanup had been done and all that was left of the scene was a few car parts and the stump of what was left of the telephone pole sticking out the ground.

I feel your pain - I'm getting ready to head to the ER - it has been well over 4 hours and that sucker is still hard. Good luck with the hot house.

Nice subtle brag that you are a homeowner with HVAC.

Good for you.

I have handled propertyclaims like these before, the heat caused all the molding/ trim and the engineered wood flooring to crack.

Yep, you were left in charge.

There have been wifi thermostats on the market for almost a decade and you chose every day you've had the house to cheap out and stay with your 1970s era technology.

Would you ask your physician to only treat you with knowledge and therapies from the 1970s to save some money?

File a claim with your homeowners and take this chance upgrade your shite.

Auburn fans, smdh. Y'all need instructions on how to breathe.

No way this would ever happen unless you lived in the desert and it was 90+ outside, but then when you left, it would've been the A/C on about 78 therefor this wouldn't be the issue.

No chance your house and hVAC is supporting 108 degrees
