You couldn't pay me to drive to Disney.

Can't beat the hour flight to Orlando.

We drove it last April and ate at a Logan's in Alabama, then spent the night in Tallahassee and got pizza. Drove all the way thru on the way back and grabbed Wendy's on the run

i've driven to disney with 3 kids 5 times and flown 3 times with 3 kids. ANd while the flight is the better option, on the low end it costs 1500 and on the high end 2500.

so, to say you couldn't pay me to drive to disney is a farce. i can put a dollar amount on it. If we can fly for 1k-1.5k I'm in, but, if it is over 1.5k I'm driving.

so, if the flight is over 1.5k I'm driving and getting paid. beat that.

There isn't much from Tallahassee until lake city. Do fill up for gas in Marianna though, it gets expensive after that. Marianna is also the last exit with multiple food options until lake city as well

Driving is not that bad. It took me about 10hrs from BR. Stopping for Breakfast and lunch. I leave early in the morning so the kids usually go to sleep and don't wake up until About Panama City. To me it's part of what a family vacation is.

This is my thought pattern as well. We plan to go to universal around thanksgiving and the price to fly four people is 2800. F that. We plan on driving and it'll only cost me around 400 total.

While I would prefer to fly I don't mind driving if we do it mostly at night when the wife and kids are sleeping.

Took the wife's RAV4. There and back on 4.5 tanks of fuel. About $150 worth

In Tallahassee, there's a good Hooters off Monroe St.

Also, great burgers at the Risqué Cafe, once you get passed Lake City.

That's how we do long trips now. I pop a Vyvanse at dinner time and listen to stand-up comedy all night while the family sleeps.

A fight to Orlando and then getting to Disney is still a 4-8 hour trip depending on if your flight is on time and what type of transportation you get from the airport. Last year some family flew while we drove and they sat on the runway for 2-1/2 hours going then had issues with their luggage in Orlando. We beat them to the hotel by a few hours.
