Seems like if the weather is either very hot OR very cold - people tend to drink a shitton.

Show that your county is majority mormon or baptist without showing its mormon or baptist.

Lived in Minnesota for a bit. Most dwi per capita people I've ever met as well people who go to rehab due to alcohol. Most people in the south that I know who have been to rehab are 70% drug based where as 90% up north seem to have been strictly alcohol related. Think Minneapolis/St.Paul areas deem themselves as the soberest cities in the nation due to gigantic sober living communities.

I was told the consumption is due to being snowed in the majority of the year and being depressed because of it. To hear them talk about how they rotate liquor stores and how far they drive to do so and at what legnths they go to drink because they don't want the employees or anyone else for that matter to judge them for drinking so much so often is crimgworthy.
In the south, people would be prideful in that badge of honor for "most visited customer" and expect nothing less than a first name basis/friendship from said reputation/relationships with store employees.

I will say this, they don't seem to be unaffected feom consumption as some in the south as far being able to handle the effects without impairment. Northerners seem to get shitfaced really easy.

Years ago I went to the UW Madison Student Union Ratskeller. It was 10am and half the people there were drinking beer, with numerous empties on their tables. I was told that in Wisconsin, beer is not considered alcohol. Demographics, you ask? German, Polish, Scandinavian and Dutch. You betcha.

When my wife’s aunt, a non-mormon, lived in Utah, her garbage can would mysteriously get filled up with beer wine liquor and soda bottles in the middle of the night after it was put out for garbage day.

So I call bullshite on Utah’s self-reporting.
