The Hilton head people are more like monkeys. Compared to the mice in myrtle beach. Much more expensive to do an experiment with

It’s nice. Beaches are not nearly as nice as the panhandle area of Florida. It is very old school island town where keeping the old live oaks all around was part of the original master plan 50-60 years ago. Very shaded along the streets and walking/bike paths. Good food but not on par with Charleston or Savannah. But there are plenty of great dining options nonetheless. Very Southern vibe to it as opposed to Florida areas south of the Big Bend area of the gulf coast.
One guy earlier in the thread said something about MAGA country. That is spot on. I haven’t been here since 2014 but every boutique in coligny square had Trump stuff. I bought 3 awesome pairs of Trump dress socks tonight and a ball cap that I haven’t seen anywhere else.

You need a car but the bike paths are some of the best planned for a beach town. Wide and paved, meandering under shade almost all of the time. We walked a mile to dinner tonight on the path but you can drive around to other places on the island like Harbour Town if you aren’t staying on that end of the island.
