Dude. Alabama landed a Buc-ee's. LA is both poor and poorly run.

Buc-ees was coming to Baton Rouge before there was any mention of building one in Alabama. The flood put an end to the one in BR, regardless of Buc-ees' assertions to the contrary. Though there is enough vagueness in the denials to suggest Louisiana politics also squashed the deal. It's more about the poorly run than poor.

please stop mentioning these places in the same breath as new Orleans... it's a global tourist destination

Like what Uncle Edwin said... Louisiana without New Orleans would be.... Mississippi..

Building a new bridge in Baton Rouge will do nothing but help the people move out quicker.

A new bridge doesn't do shite if they don't fix the 110/I-10 cluster...

I don't see why they don't get this.. The bridge isn't the issue..

I actually improperly labeled this thread with the bridge being built in Baton Rouge. I meant St. Gabriel.

I guess you don’t know the amount of commerce that goes in and around the Baton Rouge area. It’s not just statewide it is people all throughout this country.

Enjoy your day

Does renovating the Superdome require tens of years in environmental impact reports and traffic studies?

And therein lies the problem, and the reason we don't have a new bridge yet. Everyone knows a new bridge would bring a bypass/loop around BR. Too much political power in BR to allow that

Actually I did. Go back and look at my other posts in this thread. It’s just the title that says Baton Rouge.

If this is call getting bashed then you’re the fool.

This is 53 years worth. New Orleans Saints Playoff History Seasons: 53 (1967 to 2019) Record (W-L-T): 362-435-5. Playoff Record: 9-11. Super Bowls Won: 1 (1 Appearance) Championships Won*: 1. Pretty underwhelming.

Go back and see how much money having the Saints has generated, dipshit.

Travel through this state and see what Louisiana is really about.

To everyone outside of Louisiana, without New Orleans, it absolutely is Mississippi.

But maybe we can sustain the state on 3,000 people a year wanting to come for a swamp tour.

I get the investment aspect of sports stadiums but billionaires getting tax payers to pay for their businesses facilities is one of the biggest con jobs perpetrated in this country. Kudos to the first guy to ever come up with that scheme.

As far as modern amenities and niceness it is the worst in the NFC South.
The big Sombrero was better than the shitty band box Tampax Bay now plays in.
Except the really neat pirate ship!

Charlotte’s stadium is nothing to write home about (think Shea or Riverfront) and for the last three of four home dates every year has the chance to be miserable. God forbid the potential weather for a Charlotte home playoff game. 33F and raining. Weee! What a wonderful venue!

The new MB Georgia Dumb has cheap hot dogs. And lots of bar space. And a shite franchise. I would rate it about a 3 on a scale of 28.

Actually, it’s the best of the other NFC South venues only because it’s new. Did I mention that it’s inhabited by a shite franchise?
