I cross the BR Bridge once a year maybe. I go to the Superdome 8-12 times a year so sounds good to me

I don’t think she likes any type of sports.

With a username like Martini tells me she’s a high maintenance pretentious little gold digging slut.

I’m glad it serves all of your entertainment purposes. I’m sure Shreveport, Alexandria, Lake Charles and Lafayette would all enjoy a $450 million infusion towards their city’s entertainment.

More people/businesses would use the St. Gabriel bridge in one year than the amount of people that would attend all events held in the next ten years in the Superdome. I understand you’re a Saints fan but the economy of Louisiana doesn’t revolve around the Saints.

It appears like the state is well on its way to spend over $210 million to renovate the Superdome

What, again? Just more extortion from a billionare owner. It's not enough that the state gives the Saints millions of dollars of subsidies each year because fans are so terrified that they will pick up and leave? These billionaire team owners affect to be "capitalists" while extorting states for financial subsidies. Total hypocrisy.

Then get your global tourism dollars from somewhere else.

These cities and their people are paying for this too. The state is not just New Orleans.

I wouldn’t be surprised if you were a lobbyist.

I thought we didn’t have enough money to build a new bridge but we have enough money to renovate the Superdome

The Superdome is an iconic Louisiana structure.... BUT its for entertainment... A new bridge over the river would help everyday people live their lives better................ Ya see the difference here?????????

No, it’s not Mississippi. Travel through this state and see what Louisiana is really about.

And remember, the Superdome isn’t going anywhere.

You do realize the Superdome is used for more events than just 8 home Saints games a year that people from all over the country and state come to see,

You do realize that right?

You do realize the City of New Orleans nor the Saints own the Superdome, right?

That piece of shite plus a mediocre team is a financial drain on this state and a cash cow for now Gayle Benson. You are a fricking moron. Globally recognized for wearing bags on their heads and choking.

It also hosts Sugar Bowls, the occasional Super Bowl, Mardi Gras parades, and large national and international conventions. It's in use over 200 days a year with only about 10 of those being Saints games.

A wider Mississippi River bridge just helps people pass through more quickly.

You do also realize that if the Saints were to build a new outdoor stadium and abandon the Superdome how many of these events the City and State would lose?

I realize all of that Chief. You add all of those up over the next 10 years. You compare that to the that will use the new bridge for commerce and travel (even to New Orleans or the Superdome). More people will use the bridge in one year than 10 years of use in the Superdome. Also, those events will still be held in the Superdome regardless.

And if you’re worried about the Saints moving, they won’t. Even if they did, the NFL would want a team in New Orleans market immediately. There’s no reason for this when you need a bridge.

I live in north La and I’m in NO 2-3 times a year, most of it in relation to the superdome. I’m in my late 30s and I’ve been to BR once or twice in my life. Again I don’t care about your need for a bridge. I’m just speaking for me, you obviously have different opinions and that’s fine.

ETA: I shouldn’t say I don’t care, I just mean I care more for the dome. I actually have use for it as many across the state and country do. If you don’t live or work in BR than that bridge is pointless to the rest of us.

Who’s going to maintain a new bridge, a new stadium and the Superdome?
