Fort Polk in Leesville, LA was named after the Right Reverend Leonidas Polk, a distinguished Confederate general. We can't have that. How about Fort Obama.

Camp Beauregard located in Pineville, LA is named after Confederate general and Louisiana native Pierre Gustave Toutant Beauregard. How about Camp Martin Luther King.

This shite is beyond old. It's making the OT hard to read.

This place is turning into the poli board with all this bullshite.

I can understand maybe linking news articles, when they're new bc something new developed, but all.these extra threads are just dumb.

We know you thought it was clever in that tiny little brain of yours, but it wasn't.

They can just "rename" it after President James Polk instead, problem solved

He wasn't all that distinguished as a general. He was, however, Episcopal bishop of Louisiana.

I don't understand why Beauregard should be taken down in the first place. Guy fought for civil rights for the freed slaves after the war.

After having been there, I'd rename it Fort Infected Carbuncle on the a-hole of the Universe.

These threads are getting really old. We get it, it's not just the statutes that have some historical reference to slavery or the Confederacy and it's hypocritical to focus only on the statutes as being "racist." But we don't need 1,000 threads for each one.
