Remember when laser pointers were a thing?

You’d be in class. A movie theater. An LSU game. Landing your 747. And out of nowhere that red dot would appear and just piss everybody off? And the perp would not reveal himself.
This was like 15-25 years ago. You don’t see them around much anymore.
What caused their demise? People just too interested in their smart phones, etc.?

I will say the Internet (folks annoying everyone in public ) and cat lady's dying off is the demise of laser pointers.

I remember doing this in the mid 90s in Navarre Beach thinking I was the coolest little shite on the beach.

My son bought one of those several years ago. Does all the different patterns. The power of that thing in single beam mode is ridiculous.

My laser pointer doubles as an infrared thermometer. I use it to take the temperature of my floor while playing with the cat.

I was in a movie theater back in the mid 90s watching a movie about the Hindenburg and this dude screams out “that’s gotta hurt” as the Hindenburg is going up I flames thinking it was funny.

The irony, I use a laser measure everyday with a red dot. Maybe it’s a sad, sick joke reminding me of the little shite I used to be.
