My pool panel has a freeze protection setting. It kicked on all my pumps at about 3:00 today. I think once it reaches 34 degrees outside temperature it will automatically kick on the pumps.

Anyone who says this doesn't understand the purpose of opening the pipes.

I can't imagine someone being dumb enough to run water full blast for an entire day.

You better get up and flush your toilet every hour or so, too.

just turn on two faucets in different parts of the house- choose the ones farthest from where water comes into the house

if in doubt drip the water. moving water is difficult to freeze

This is a minimal benefit. The bigger benefit is the pressure release which prevents a pipe from busting when it freezes.

He doesn’t do that. He’s entertaining himself.

Yes outside and inside. Wide open. Pool filter should also. Stay on. The county Judge was just on the news going. Over this. Also bring your pets inside.

Dude. Just shut up. Some people are too dumb to know you are kidding.

Port Barre residents say hi.

Seriously. All I ever do is open the cabinets, and drip the faucet that is furthest from where my water comes into the house. No problems yet.

Nope. It's the major benefit. The water coming into the house is much warmer than freezing because it's in the ground. Keeping that warm(er) water in your pipes is what stops them from freezing and busting. You can't relieve the pressure of ice.

frick off. A few years ago I had to hear about places like Chicago, New York and Minnesota freaking the frick out during a heat wave. Old people were dying, power was out and no one had a/c’s.

My tankless recirculates through the hot and cold water lines so I think I'm good without a drip right?

It's weird seeing snow on the roofs of houses and not being weirded out by it.

It's like "yeah I saw that a few weeks ago nbd"

Tank less is a different ball game Altogether. Assuming you have titanium Fittings no Need to run any faucets. If They aren't titanium make sure to run them. I'm talking about the fittings inside the inner housing panel which aren't visible without taking the tank Apart.

I take a small stick and put it under the flap just enough to make the toilet run. Beats getting up every couple of hours to flush.
