Yale University researchers found they could prevent fat from being absorbed in the body by stopping its entry into the gut.

A similar drug already exists- Orlistat (see Alli).
And, yes, it can cause bloating, gas, cramping, and anal seepage.

A new discovery could make it possible to eat all the fat you want without gaining a single pound

So what happened to all the fat the mice were consuming? In the toilet, according to study co-author Anne Eichmann
Umm, I’m pretty sure that’s not how our bodies work.

The fat we eat in foods doesn’t go directly into the fat we have on our bodies.

Many healthy diets are high in good fats and the people who eat those diets have healthy body weights.

On the other side of the coin, you can eat a low-fat diet and still be a fatass.

The amount of fat we have on our bodies isn’t dependent o the amount of fat we eat.

what they really need to be working on is developing a drug that stops carbs from being absorbed by the body

There is, it's basic motor functions. Stop using you hand to grab carb heavy foods and place it in your fat mouth. Basically by doing less, you get to lose weight.

There are already fat blockers on the market. Some of which cause involuntary anal leakage.

I always laughed when the commercial for Alli came out and mentioned that as a side effect.

quote:

Orlistat (also known by trade names Xenical and Alli) is a diet pill that works by blocking the enzymes that digest fat. As a result, some fat cannot be absorbed from the gut and is excreted in the feces instead of being metabolically digested, sometimes causing oily anal leakage.

Eating fat does not make you fat, eating too many carbs does
