As one poster alluded to, her mentality is “what did I miss out on?” regardless of the situation. Even without kids she would probably be complaining that she hasn’t settled down with kids yet. Can’t fix idiots like that.

The guy cutting his dick off to be a woman is denying what his chromosomes say.
I think the biological urge isn’t to have babies, it’s to have sex. Obviously the baby is the result of sex, but when a guy goes to a bar and sees an attractive woman with huge boobs, he doesn’t look at those boobs and think of his son/daughter nursing from them.

I totally understand what you’re saying and I know you’re just playing devils advocate.
My counter to that would be that being in a monogamous relationship goes against biological traits, yet we do it. Working for a human being for currency as a means of survival goes against biological survival traits, yet we do it. Pretty much everything we do as a civilized society (wearing clothing, social politeness, Hell- not killing each other when we are angry) goes against biology. Why should having children be treated differently?

Yes you want to have sex, and you likely in your mind dont want to make a baby, but little soldier is at attention because his biology is there to make more humans

I would imagine there were several people (men and women) hundreds of years ago that never wanted children.
They just had them because society demanded it from them.

Well my career serves poverty stricken children who would otherwise not receive what we provide so I’d argue that my career does in fact matter.
And you can laugh at my career as much as I laugh at your feeling of reward over your kid doing something. But the difference is I don’t laugh at that. And you shouldn’t laugh at others either.
Nobody made you the authority on what makes someone fulfilled in life. Plenty of people DO die having had a career others care about and also.. plenty of people produce kids that nobody but themselves care about.
Weak argument.

I have seen arguments we are biologically driven towards monogamy because human babies are so fragile they need two caregivers
But it doesnt matter. I agree with you society has changed us to go against natural biology in many ways

No one will care about your career or the work you did when you retire. Absolutely no one. Probably one of the most short sighted reasons for not having kids.
The kids who didn’t grow up in poverty and on welfare will probably care.

Strongly disagree. Pretty sure all of mankind is thankful for the work of Alexander Fleming long after his death.
Psst....he was the first to discover penicillin.
They don't know shite about him or care about him, just that "whatever that old dude made can fix my burning pee hole."

Disagree, he biological imperative is to procreate. Evolution made sex feel good to promote it.

the issue is that yes, we don't just go with basic biology. we have developed society that has removed the necessities that lead to evolution. however, within society we have an understanding of rules that make society function more efficiently, leading to advances in society. people of higher culture having children is required for progress or our society will be left with a mass of the underclass attempting to run things, which leads to collapse of society (and all that progress)

I'm not laughing at your career
I'm saying if not for you someone else would do it. No one goes to their death bed regretting the lack of hours they worked.
I'd also say that it's probably a safe assumption that those who are the most adamant against having kids also had a messed up or abnormal home life growing up.

nothing, but you're using single examples to discuss public policies over hundreds of millions of people
life is about making the correct decision. sometimes the results don't reflect this, but you can't be results-oriented
