A girl I dated in college is now a 100% wacko who thinks like this.

Claims autism and everything else...

The reality? She's pursuing a life devoid of meaning and is extremely depressed because of it.

It's really sad to see someone who once shined so brightly reduced to what she is now.

These types of kids are the product of helicopter parents who were never allowed to fail.

Sometimes you have to let your kid face the music for their actions and learn to deal with pressure and admonishment

When did so damn many people get “diagnosed” with ADD and Autism? Not saying either isn’t a legitimate issue to deal with

I realize social media and our phones are engineered to keep us hooked but putting that away during work hours (and after that as much as possible) is actually proven to relieve stress and anxiety.

As a bonus you’ll probably be more productive and enjoy your job more.

There are jobs like that. I've always thought being a professor in a business college would be really rewarding and relaxing. The thing is, you have to earn that. You have to learn so much (in a demonstrable way) that you're difficult to replace. Just being some enema-nozzle from r/atheism doesn't cut it.

Yeah I only visit my local community reddit page and the conservative reddit. I live in a fairly conservative city in Alabama and just reading the local forum you'd think I lived in Philly. So many of them have mental health issues. It's astounding and takes every fiber of my being not to comment in them.

Pay isn't great typically but being a park ranger or similar is great for dudes with "ADHD".
