About time. My wife has been amazed for decades that my cholesterol, blood pressure and sugar levels are all better than hers and on the low side of the norms.
She eats virtually no beef and I grill myself a steak at least 3 nights a week. And I never eat salads.

I honestly have a horrible diet and eat whatever I want (tons of meat of all kinds) and my blood pressure and heart rate are still perfect.

Fatties gave it a bad rep.
Eating processed fats and massive amounts of sodium is a problem.
Eating quality cuts of red meat are never bad for you.

But eat away, lardass, they'll need a forklift to get you to the grave.

A 55 lb loss and improved lipid panel after 2 years on keto says otherwise, champ.
But you keep eating your sugar and breads while those arteries continue to become inflamed.

What is keto? Give me the high level bullet points.

Red meat is the same as salt and sugar, its not bad for you to eat as long as the rest of you is healthy especially if you exercise. But once you are already fat, they are all 3 bad for you and then cause further issues.

-High fat
-Moderate protein
-Low carbs (under 20 grams)
-Liver transitions into ketosis, which burns fat instead of glucose--resulting in super efficient weight loss

it's not red meat; it's processed red meat, stupid

So how is this different than Atkins?
And quantify 20 grams of carbs in terms of actual food. Is that like a single serving of mac n cheese?

bullshite - There are people out there that are literally eating just meat and drinking water. They thrive on just meat. No veggies, no bread, no sugar. Eat all the salt you want....that isn't what is killing you.
Beef isn't going to make you fat. You can stuff yourself and it won't make you fat. Believe me, I've done it for 3 months. Currently carnivore again, though not stuffing myself, and my lipid profile is as good as it gets. I don't have sugar crashes or feel tired after lunch. My anxiety is under control. I feel less stressed. You don't need as much vitamin C as you think, scurvy isn't a problem with enough fat. Go watch the movie "The Reverent" with Dicaprio, go read up on indians and the pemican trade (they didn't mix berries in it btw).
Don't pedal your "exercise equates healthy" bs. You can be healthy and not exercise, you can exercise and not be healthy.

I mean, this is kind of bullshite. Sedentary lifestyle with no cardio is not good for you. I can eat the best diet imaginable and never elevate my heart rate via cardio/moving around and I would not be healthy.

It's actually very similar to the introductory stage of Atkins.

Simplified, it'd be about 1 of those bags of steamed greens such as broccoli or green beans (or 2 bags of asparagus).

How much fruit can you eat on keto? I like a good grean smoothie with super food powder and plant based protein. I usually throw a banana and a few raspberries in it too. And kale. Drink for breakfast and mid afternoon snack. Don't do this very often but am planning on doing it every day soon.

Not much if any.
I think you can have a few blueberries or some such but, basically, forget about it.

So you can't eat starches, you can't eat many vegetables and you can't eat any fruit.
What the frick can you eat? Just meat? Eggs? Can you eat beans?

Maybe I phrased it poorly I don't know. I said that red meat, salt, and sugar are not inherently bad for you while you are at a good to moderate weight. Once you are fat and unhealthy though, those three are very bad.
Are you disagreeing that salt is bad for blood pressure? I'm not a doctor but I'm pretty sure that is universally accepted. It was previously thought that high salt was a possible cause of high blood pressure, but that is no longer commonly accepted.
