OK...in laymen's terms:
My Dad was one of the Marine Recruiters in Lake Charles from 1986-1990 and the "boss" there from 1988-1990. He did similar things to the guys in the delayed entry program. This kind of activity prevents guys from going to Marine Corps Recruit Depot (also known as MCRD or "Boot camp") with no knowledge of the Corps activities there.
