Just got back from the Doctor and he told me I need to get physical therapy for my shoulder.
I was wondering if anybody knows about a good physical therapist in the baton rouge area.

If you live the active lifestyle then go to Marucci Elite. If not, anywhere will suffice.
I'm currently at Marucci for post SLAP repair…very extensive program. Robbie is great.

Had my ACL reconstruction done by BR Orthopaedic Clinic (satellite office in Zachary). They have PTs in BR, Zachary and I think Prairieville. I am currently going through PT with them here in Zachary and they are great. No idea how they are at the other locations. I think they go by Physical Therapy and Hand Center.

Also heard good things about Moreau and Kleinpeter.

I couldn't tell you his exact professional title, but yes, patients come in and out of there all day. About 90% are athletes of all ages (obviously the vast majority are throwing athletes).

After my arm surgery I had to go to PT for almost six months, as much as 5 days/week in the beginning. When I started I couldn't move my fingers, hand, or wrist whatsoever. After months of hard work and help from the occupational therapist, I was able to regain almost 80-90% of my pre-injury movement.

I went to Peak Performance PT in Denham, but they have offices all over. The people there were extremely helpful and I owe a lot to the OT that I worked with. If it weren't for her I'd have a serious disability in my right hand.

To the OP... is your insurance covering it?

I went to Eddy at the Baton Rouge General on Bluebonnet. I have degerenative disc disorder and within a few visits I felt so much better. I have been going on 4 months without taking meds or back problems.

It's not Marucci, Elite physical therapy rents space from them. They do focus on athletes primarily. They did my therapy after two shoulder surgeries. I was satisfied wit their work.

Gotcha. Yea, I knew Elite did sports stuff...didn't know they had space at Marucci.

It sucked. I'm not going to lie to you. The post-op pain and discomfort wasn't terrible thanks to the the meds and cryo-compressions (I think that's what it's called…it circulated ice water) they sent me home with. Not being able to use my arm was extremely frustrating.
You'll have to be dedicated to the PT plan. Rehab was a lot lore work than I imagined. I'm 10 months post-op and I still work at it everyday.
