This could possibly be an unwise purchase.
You are a regular white guy though right?

Do explain.
I'm exploring the idea of making a purchase of this type.

You can probably find a prefered installer on the Radar Detector & Laser Jammer forum. LINK What detector are you running with it?

I honestly didn't know there was anything beyond a regular radar detector. I do purposefully go through life with my head buried in the sand though.
Couldn't something like this anger a LEO?

I have a Laser Interceptor on my Goldwing that I installed myself.
Not a particularly challenging or difficult installation and I think any competent car stereo guy could handle it.
I don't know who is good or bad in BR anymore but that is why I chose self installation.

Valentine 1.
I love the arrows and bogey counter.
I hate its inability to truly filter out non-threats.
I'm exploring the Escort Redline or Bel STi Magnum. I also use Waze.

I'm now reading up on laser jammers. What made you choose this brand?
Does it jam all laser guns that are currently in use or does it just jam the ones that we have here in Louisiana?

Is there a specific person I should ask for?

Are you running TMF2 on the V1? It has helped get rid of a lot of K false alerts for me. GM and sometimes Acura vehicles will still set it off some times. I can't live without the arrows though.
When installing the jammer you may want to seek out a place the can test it after install. It's easy to wire everything but placement of the laser heads is crucial to jamming the LEO's gun. You don't want to be running with a system that may not be working correctly.

Haven't bought one ... yet.
Still researching. Laser jammers can get quite expensive.

A few other guys had them on their Wings. The mounting was MC friendly and the cords have pre made connectors on the ends that seem to be more weather tight (it's kind of a RJ45 style connector). On a bike the tough part is finding a dry spot for the controller but the Wing has a glovebox.
As far as how many guns it defends against I installed it one year ago and at the time it handled all threats.
The guy who recently set the Coast to Coast speed record ran a quad LI setup on his Mercedes CL55.
Mine has gone off 3 times in 15,000 miles so it does work.
Considering you can go 80-85 with impunity on most interstates it may or may not be necessary. I find it most useful on rural roads in combination with the V1. The V1 has saved me more times than the LI but the V1 has a disadvantage in that there is so much radar noise out there not just in the city but on the highway due to the increasing number of collision avoidance systems on some cars and big trucks.
Most cops still use radar because they are lazy and they can just sit there and let it blast and they have to stand still and aim the laser.

It's their junk K filter. LINK Check the link to see if your detector has it installed and how to activate it.

Anti-Laser Priority (ALP) is the preferred system used by the guys over at rdforum.org. Reason being is that it is the only system that can defeat the new variable pulsed LIDAR guns such as the Laser Atlanta and Dragon Eye. It also preforms on top with the traditional fixed pulsed guns and can be interfaced with your Iphone or Andriod phone. Could also be interfaced with your V1 or with a front grill mounted radar detectors such as the Beltronics StiR+ or Escort 9500ci.
