can you clear this up?
Rates were expected to be higher now than they are. The Fed before and at the beginning of the Trump presidency expected to bump rates up at a greater pace than they have. The incredible bull run we've been on has delayed them raising rates as quickly as they originally forecasted.
Wages are rising, unemployment is at historical lows, inflation is right on target. The economy is churning along at a great pace right now, and it's not for one single reason.

I think that's been more centered around the fairly moderate inflation numbers.

Which has been caused by wage growth, low unemployment, and consumer spending. All three of which, in my opinion, are fueled some by the tax cuts. Certainly not all, but I do think it has a part in it.

It'll be interesting to see how Trump blames Obama and the liberals

Ford just announced it expects to lay off 24,000 people due to a 1 billion loss so far from the tarrifs. China's economy is feeling a lot of pain right now. Other Asian economies are starting to be affected. The international monetary fund is estimated $480 billion and rising as the global costs of the tarrifs. Pretty much 100% of economists say the tarrifs are a really bad idea.
I just personally think the combination of tariffs, massive increase in the deficit under trump, and end of cheap money are going to be some strong head winds soon.
We will all see :)
Hmmm...

Last week, we reported that Ford would be laying off up to 20,000 salaried workforce positions in the wake of the steel and aluminum tariffs levied against China. According to a company spokesman, the layoffs are a result of an ongoing company-wide restructuring and not due to external forces such as tariffs.
Although Ford has also said they’re certainly not helping.
An analyst with Morgan Stanley cited the 20,000 number after Ford execs warned their global workforce that reductions in staff will come as part of their ongoing restructuring efforts. Ford is at the beginning of a $25 billion restructuring as it seeks greater efficiencies in a competitive global automotive market.
However, it is incorrect to imply that layoffs are a direct result of Chinese steel and aluminum tariffs. Speaking with Snopes.com, Ford spokesperson Karen Hampton stated: "This [reorganization] is a global effort and not specific to the U.S. We began this effort recently as part of our CEO’s work to make us a faster, more nimble, more innovative company."
So you're number and reasons are wrong, but youre going to gloat?

Market corrections are normal and healthy. I don't see why there's a mass freakout today.

Plus the drops are going to be big numbers now that the DOW is 25 fricking thousand.
There's a big difference in 600 points at 25,000 and 600 points at 15,000.

BXS dropped 25% in the last couple of weeks on good earnings, with uniformly neutral to positive analyst ratings. The market is not rational.
