The problem is that neither side is willing to make cuts to their pet programs when in power. Military for the right and social programs for the left.
Another problem. Party before country...
And pet programs have always been an overlooked problem. Maybe someone smarter than me can answer this, but I wonder how much money is spent on these pet projects (pork)?
I am for doing what's best for the country as a whole and while I understand some of these pet projects help fund projects that are needed, but there are also some completely bullshite projects that money goes towards as well.

Yeah and it would have collected a frick load more and the debt would not have exploded had trump not passed his idiotic tax cut plan that people like me will pay for in spades in a fee years.
Wrong. Without the tax cuts no new jobs, no new tax base. No new revenue for American companies and American made products.

told you MAGA baws this many moons ago. You cannot cut taxes without cutting spending and expect anything good, AT ALL, to happen.
You dumb bastard, this has nothing to do with taxes and everything to do with the Fed raising rates. Rates that were kept artificially low for almost a decade for another dumbass community organizing white guilt winner of the affirmative action sweepstakes shitty, broken policies based off a shitty dumbass ideology.

Wtf? You do realize the trajectory of the pace of new jobs added to the economy did not change at all with the tax cuts, right? You do realize job growth under trump is slower than under Obama? You do realize the vast majority of tax savings went toward stock buybacks and very little if any went toward job creation, correct?

The pork projects need to go but it's mostly SS, Medicare and military. We should phase in raising the eligibility age and slash all other spending across the board.
Those programs weren't created when people were expected to collect them for 20 years. It will never happen though. It would be too unpopular for whichever party voted for it.

Not nearly as much as in the 80s and 90s by a long shot.
Pork spending is bullshite. But really its a drop in the bucket these days. Entitlements and the military and interest on the debt are the problems.
No one is touching entitlements in either party. And trump and the Republicans are jacking military spending and the interest on the debt through the roof. Its a fricking disaster, but yay fricktarded lying conman Donald trump. He has played 30% of the country for idiots and keeps doing it.

Sure lil fella.
I broke my rule about trying to talk sense to an idiot trump supporter who ignores reality in my last post, and I guess in this one too.
That is enough of my time wasted for tonight.

You just hit a nerve. The only truth this board knows is that Obama was the worst president ever and that Trump will end up being the best president this country has ever seen.

And bam, in less than 1 year since he signed them, we have gone from 400b in deficits to over 1 trillion for the foreseeable future. Which is basically until the Dems get back in control and get the deficit back down again.
If you think the Democratic Party is going to reduce the deficit you are hiding your own fricking Easter eggs.
