The pork projects need to go but it's mostly SS, Medicare and military. We should phase in raising the eligibility age and slash all other spending across the board.

Those programs weren't created when people were expected to collect them for 20 years. It will never happen though. It would be too unpopular for whichever party voted for it.

Yup. Agree. And like I said, I knew you were smart (even if you are a trumpkin, lol).

Anyway, I'm bowing out of this discussion. Have a good one.

If you think the Democratic Party is going to reduce the deficit you are hiding your own fricking Easter eggs.

I know this is not directed to me, but personally I don't think either party has an answer to reduce the deficit.

It would require both parties coming together to put together a plan everyone can get behind and in the current political climate, this isn't happening any time soon.

Exactly, that’s why they are called Mutual Funds and not a collection of stocks.

this has nothing to do with taxes and everything to do with the Fed raising rates

and they are raising rates because they are trying to counter the inflationary effect of tax breaks.

No there not they've been holding off on raising rates at their original plans since before the tax cuts.

Obama didn't raise taxes and if he didn't it wouldn't have been to slow down inflation as its been at pretty much record lows for the last 20 years.
