I got a Nigerian prince that did the same to me. I'm going to try and get him fired.

It’s called tire kickers and you’re the one that’s upset because you got duped. Now he knows what you’re willing to sell for.

He’s smarter than you and you’re just mad about tin

So you don’t use a realtor because you are too cheap to pay one and too stupid to know what an acceptable offer looks like? This is really going great for you

holy shite I’m just catching up on this.

The OP thought he was being cute by trying to sell his house FSBO, and it backfired on him by a 20 year old kid and now he’s melting like nothing I’ve ever seen before.

This will be a good thread to catch up on while sipping a vodka and lemonade

So easy that you came on to TD to complain about how you can’t get the job done.

No, I’m not a realtor, but you are making a pretty strong case for why the average clueless homeowner needs one.

You are one simple son of a bitch.

P.S. If you'd invest one-tenth the time in selling your property as you do daily pretending to be a "tough guy" on an internet chat site, the house would have already been sold.

I FSBO out of spite, I just dont like realtors and I'm not going to feed their corrupt little system. But I do take my fishing seriously, I'm not trying to save 30% and buy a cheap boat.

Congratulations. You’re one stupid son of a bitch on so many levels.

I just realized that OP has no idea how any of this works. EACH realtor generally receives 3%, which adds up to 6% if each party has a realtor. If you are selling your property by owner, I hope you are prepared to pay a buyer's realtor fee. If not, good luck

Uhh, the buyer’s realtor can kick rocks if the house if FSBO. They can ask, and I’m sure many sellers give in, but the seller is not obligated to give a dime to the buyer’s realtor. If I was a buyer and my realtor soured a deal because he wasn’t going to get his fee he would no longer be my realtor.

I had a realtor lie about when a contract was delivered to buy his clients more time. He was a dual agent on a deal and my offer was sufficient to start a clock on the deal he had in place.

Now this IMO is truly a problem. Yes I can get paid on both sides of a deal, but the way I see it by doing so the only person I’m actually representing is myself. I won’t do it. I will get another agent to represent the buyer and I represent my seller, that way both clients are having their interest represented properly.

Sooner or later there’s going to be a big lawsuit over that and nuke it.

My brokerage doesn’t allow it. Let the buyer/seller whom you previously didn’t represent stay unrepresented. Can of worms

This is the weirdest melt I've ever seen. There is literally no harm done here - no sweat or time wasted by OP. Why the melt?

Nope, but

1. My job isn’t a completely useless profession, and
2. I, like realtors, get paid in accordance with a contract I have with my clients. I, unlike some realtors, make sure that contract is in place prior to doing the work.
