There are a lot of drugs being tested so it won't be too long. I saw that one is starting a 2 week trial for severely ill patients, the determining factor is whether the patient dies in that time, so things are really starting to happen.

I think that things get to a point where they have to decide on keeping the economy shut down killing folks or the virus killing folks. A "lesser of two evils" kinda thing.

The warmer the temperature the quicker it dies. What matters is: How quick does it die at 85F vs 50F? and how long of an exposure at 85F does it require to make the virus ineffective?

If I'm not mistaken, the Spanish Flu came to an end without a cure ever being found. Most people infected either died or developed immunity and with social distancing measures in effect, the virus was unable to find fresh hosts and died off.

Parts of the economy are going to start rolling after Easter and will gradually be opened up probably until about mid summer. They have beds set up in large areas and will have to deal with it as we get the economy rolling. We will likely be in a recession ,but if you go to a depression while trying to deal with this than the virus will be the least of our concern. It is going to have to be a balance between this and the economy and it is not worrying about a cure ,but how to treat this effectively. It seems like that anti malaria drug is the answer for now ,but we will have to accept more people will get this and more people will die from it. In the mean time do your best to protect the elderly and sick ,but again some of those that are vulnerable will die from this.

It may not slow, but is hasn’t been what we call “hot” for an extended period. Couple days touched upper 80s but it’s been mostly around 80-82 and a few days have dipped back into the 70s. I’m hoping it slows in mid to late May when it’s upper 80s-low 90s until October.
