I drink way too much.
I do, too. I just don't do drugs, and that is absolutely not judgement or condescension toward those who do.

Been going through it myself on and off. But keep having to stay on opioids because I can't take the 3 months I would probably need to get past em. Farthest I've made it was a month, and I still couldn't sleep at night without getting absolutely hammered drunk. I've at least lowered my tolerance which I'm happy with. Hoping I can start weaning off soon. At one point I needed 60mg of Norco or Percocet to be comfortable for 3 hours. Now I'm down to only 10.
I know I don't have to tell you this man, but your liver is the equivalent of Mitch "Blood" Green after the street fight with Tyson back in the day.
Good luck with it.

Surprisingly, my liver function tests in January showed it functioning at 96%. Pills now only having 325mg of acetaminophen instead of 500mg is a lot easier on the body.

Good news: the liver will heal. In your case, yours is doing pretty well, considering.

I think that's done tongue in cheek.

Until pharmaceutical companies and doctors are held responsible nothing will change
I'm not sure how you can hold the manufacturers responsible (at least anymore...back in the day, they absolutely pushed these knowing how addictive they were, and buried that).
The doctors are the gatekeepers to people getting addicted. It should be easier to manage now with electronic health records...should be easier to tell if someone is doctor shopping.

What's making this even a bigger problem is fentanyl. It doesn't take much to kill someone. There is a really thin line between a really great high and death, but the buyers don't know how much is in the heroin they buy. And the amount might not be enough to kill one person, but that doesn't mean it isn't enough to kill someone else.
And when someone ODs, it actually brings more people to that area because it usually means it is a high grade of heroin (it's pure or at least not cut much at all).
I don't know anything about this Robin chick, but she is hot.

According to wiki, she is a distant cousin of Blake Sheldon.

Astaxanthin and Serrapeptase seem to have near magic abilities for some people. Check out the reviews on Amazon for how it's helped people. Maybe you can be another one to get help.

The opiate problem isn't heroin. It's pills.
To a large extent yes. However, there's also a growing problem with things like Fentanyl which is sold as heroin but is significantly stronger. People shoot up their normal amount of heroin and die.
Pills are a huge epidemic though, I have a feeling in the next few years there will be a massive class action suit against opioid manufacturers who seem to be pumping massive amounts of pills to doctors solely to make a few extra bucks.
