Guy was a POS, but a cop can’t shoot an unarmed (a taser isn’t life threatening) suspect in the back as he’s running away.

cas4t probably wishes the cops would kneel before Brooks!

Construct a legal argument that firing a taser at officers isn't a violent felony.

Was the cop’s life or safety in anyway threatened as this guy was running away? No. This is homicide. It doesn’t matter if he’s a shithead and stole their taser; you can’t shoot someone in the back while they’re running away.

Actually, he can. That cop is getting paid for wrongful termination.

He was shot after he fired the cop's stolen tazer at the cop. This was well within the law.

Tasers are still incapacitating weapons right? He was in fact trying to use it against at least 1 of the officers?

So if he had a real gun and was spitting bullets, still not ok to shoot him as he runs away or what?

It was threatened the minute he turned and fired the taser.

Had he just ran and not turned and fired the taser, he would likely be alive.

It is as if he is purposely leaving out the FACT that he turned and fired the taser at the cop, possibly hitting him (can’t tell definitively from the video).

Have you ordered your Rayshard Brooks shirt yet, with his face on the front and an empowering message on the back?

The cop obviously had firsthand knowledge that tasers aren’t deadly from moments before, so he knew his life wasn’t in jeopardy.

The cop was frustrated and embarrassed and lost his cool. Case closed

You, like the rest before you in this thread, are wrong. And the reason you are wrong is because you do not know, nor do you care to figure out, what you are actually trying to argue.

You have no clue the SOP of most police departments in the country. You have no clue what deadly use of force protocols say. You have no clue the dangers a drunk, violent, unhinged suspect who is armed with a "less lethal" weapon can do. You have no clue the responsibility those officers have to the innocent citizens in that area. You have no clue on how an investigation like this is SUPPOSED to be managed. You evidently have not watched the countless videos that have been released to the public, and if you have, you only see what you want to see. And worst of all, you appear to have no desire to figure any of this stuff out prior to spouting your ill-informed opinion on this situation.

Yeah, that's a completely irrelevant opinion here, but I don't want that to stop you. You seem to be on a roll.

If this was SOP for the department, then why did they fire him?
