I expect downvotes, but this is the most overrated pizza of all time.
It was good. Even very good at times. But people fawn all over it like it’s the best pizza in the world and it just wasn’t.
Nostalgia sells. People like what they're familiar with. I remember going to the Pizza Hut buffet with my parents and grandparents when I was younger. If one ever opened again anywhere close to BR and it looked the same with the light fixtures and red cups, I'd eat there every weekend.

You are correct.
For me it was Mr. Gatti's Buffet on Florida Blvd.

I go to Gatti's in Denham occasionally. Really with any buffet you go to nowadays, you really just have to want to be there to deal with the other clientele.

Just accept credit cards and debit cards and all will be well.

I pass by there 5-6 times per day. Honestly, I'm scared to go for that very reason. Don't want to lose the memories I have when Mr. Gatti's was great.
MMGGA!!

I don't think I've spoken much of FDL in any recent years on this website.

Literally all they need to do to be successful is keep the restaurant clean, accept cards, be open for consistent hours, and be nice to customers. That’s it. Hopefully, they will do exactly that, and we’ll be able to enjoy their greasy guilty pleasure pizza again.
Maybe a couple lamps if they can’t afford light fixtures.

Dark, dingy, and cash only for grease with a little pizza added in. Yuck

Why? Then the IRS knows your revenues.

LOL. To all the old Fleur de Lis regulars here. Do you remember the "Absolutely no Fu*kin substitution policy" "We don't care if your girlfriend doesn't like olives" "She's gonna like olives tonight or NO PIZZA FOR YOU"

I remember going there about ten years ago and I’m sitting in the restaurant eating a pizza and there was water pouring in through the roof into a big trash can in the middle of the restaurant. Never seen that before or since. No way that is code.
