I suppose it’s possible. I actually have two family members in the rap music industry. It’s insanely hard to make any money unless you are pretty big.

As long as you aren't too far north or south of the Poplar/Walnut Grove corridor, you aren't really going to be affected by the ganster wars. That restaurant Prive is inching closer towards the suburbs, but it's still not really close to a good part of town

And in this specific case, Dolph was quite big in the industry.

A kid i went to high school with ended up on T-pain's label, young ca$h. If you've ever seen a midget in a t-pain video, I also went to school with him too Here's a gem of a clip from his appearance on I love New York season 2.

My Dr's kid (childhood neighbor since we were like 4 or 5) also rapped with Ca$h. He's done songs with boosie, webbie, project pat, paul wall, mike jones, and t-pain. Also has done about a decade in federal prison, for trafficking cocaine and marijuana Ca$h also did a 3 year fed stint on trafficking charges. First person to get life in the fed for drug trafficking was from my Jacksonville suburb, and his son really introduced them into the next level trafficking.

At a certain point the lines certainly get blurred on what profession is really yours, drug dealer or rapper.

Never in my life did I think someone on TD would be able to quote a Young Dolph lyric but here we are
He has a music video on YouTube with nearly 100 million views.

SOMEONE around here is going to know a song or two.

If you were in college in the deep South circa 2016, you’ve definitely heard his music

I just drove by close to where it happened. Prolly still 50 cop cars out there.

Apparently the "community" is out in the street threatening retaliation against Yo Gotti?????

Let them all shoot each other and go back in the morning to clear the bodies.

Girl I know in Memphis says there are now fears of retaliatory bullshite starting in the city.

We might get 10 for 1 outta this.

Not surprised tbh. Memphis goons have been trying to kill Dolph for about 10 yrs. Guess Yo Gotti finally got him.
