Not to sound cras but is this another average rapper who’s about to be talked about as one of the greats who just passed too soon? seems like we’ve had a streak of those recently, but I’m not an expert on the rap game

I think it's more of the fact that both him and XXXTentacion died at the peak of their popularity (in the rap genre at least), which is why their deaths will be talked about more. If a singer or a rapper that was popular 5-10 years ago died today it wouldn't make as big of an impact. When someone bursts onto the scene quickly and is gone shortly thereafter, it makes people wonder about the "What could have been".

That really sucks to hear. I didn't care for his music personally, but I hate to see people pass away so suddenly.
