Regardless of what he makes now, this was about as dumb of a purchase as one could ever, ever, ever make.

It could be a good investment especially if he does a lot of the maintenance/upkeep himself.

A few thoughts.

1. If Elvis could afford a Convair 880 (ex-Delta), why can't Drake afford a 762?

2. The jet may have been "free" (I doubt it), but that custom interior cost millions upon millions. Aircraft interiors have to be certified as safe, using fire resistant materials and meeting G-load requirements.

3. Used 767s aren't that expensive. Here's a slightly larger 767-300 offered for sale for $11 million. And a VIP 762ER.

4. One advantage to operating a 767 is that there are still many of them flying, and even new freighters and USAF tankers being delivered, so parts are readily available. I wonder if he's going to have it maintained by Delta Tech Ops in Atlanta?

5. Still, operating costs are going to be a horrendous ongoing expense.

You’ve changed your arguement and are still wrong.

You say he doesn’t own it. Prove it.

This is classic, you have completely talked yourself out of your argument. Since you can afford to buy your own Canes sauce even you could afford this jet under his terms. He is just baller enough to get the use of it for free, whether we like it or not.

The naive/dumb line is even more classic because you were the one dumb enough to take a tOT post at face value then go on a rant about it even after the facts came to light.

I’m not sure who’s more annoying, the people who care about some black guy owning a jet or the people that are mad a people who are upset that a black dude owns a jet.

May own it or being allowed to lease it through an ambassadorship program for the company. Somewhat common thing to see with private jets.

Good move on their part, lots of free press. Not sure what their break even point is though.

Think of all the inner city youth he could've helped with that $200M...

Wonder why they these rich democrats never get called out for that.

I also doubt he paid half of 200 for it.

Used 767 is between 10-20m

He lives at a jet park. All his neighbors have planes. He's got the only airliner.
