I was a bit surprised by this, thinking most of the land in states like Nebraska and Kansas was used for growing crops.

To be fair, they have a high ratio of cattle per acre

Western Kansas and Nebraska is littered with 1000+ head cattle feed lots. Can barely go a mile without seeing one on the interstate.

I was thinking the feedlots would be the reason for Kansas and Nebraska but I looked up Nebraska and apparently about 20% of the landmass is used for corn and 50% (24 million acres I think) is used for pasture and rangeland.

Every time I drove across it all I saw was corn.

they should at least add some odd random numbers instead of all ending in 000/00.

Knowing that cattle stats what?

It’s called a diversion from all the virus threads. Damn. Thanks for the input, though.

I’m a little surprised by Florida being so high with that hot humid climate

Most of the land in states like Nebraska and Kansas is used for growing crops; cattle in those states are mostly just passing through, and stay in ginormous feed lots, where they're being fattened for slaughter. Most of those cattle were born and reared by ranchers on public land in other states.
