That second pic with the bear should be called, "Eyes on the Prize." Really cool pic, did that Salmon live to see another day?

Nah, she did a belly flop and walked away with him. She had two cubs up a tree nearby and it was pretty cool to watch.

I'm always a bit on edge when they have cubs around.

I have some business up in Anchorage this summer and I hope I can find some time to see some of the country. That must have been really cool to watch a bear, "fish," and I'd imagine being around bear cubs w/ momma and food is probably a pretty hairy scene. Hell, I've met some momma Raccoons that were more more than ornery because I was too close to their litter. Can't imagine a Brown Bear's attitude...

Go up to Eagle River, near the State Park. Good chance of seeing one up there.

Of course you can find Moose and Bear walking the streets as well, but bear aren't as plentiful there as they are here.
