MSY to Cleveland Thursday morning. Southwest. Airport ingress uneventful. Very impressed with the facilities. Forty minute departure delay due to “baggage issues.”

It’s now Friday night in Hagerstown MD and I can pick up my bag in DC sometime tomorrow. Received a $400 voucher and a free toiletry kit for the inconvenience.

Professionally I shoot Nikon. Not much differentiating Nikon and Canon DSLR offerings - just a question of which system you want to invest (or are invested) in.

Also shoot Sony mirrorless - amazing system that is fairly future-proof. Bodies are tiny in comparison.

But I gotta tell you when it comes to a combo of ease of use/quality/portability, I always grab the Fujifilm X100F. It’s a delight and in the $1200 range. Not the camera to build a system around (lens is fixed), but a near perfect EDC camera. For kids/family, think most about which camera you’re going to want to lug around with you all day.

Highly recommend you consider something with a fully articulated LCD - kids are all about low angle shots, and those are a necessity.
