Mountain City, TN is geographically closer to Ontario, Canada than Memphis, TN. There is that lake to get around, though. So, Google maps puts the driving distance to Windsor, Ontario as 17 miles farther than Memphis.

I had no idea it took 9+ hours to drive across Tennessee. Somebody gerrymandered the crap out of that state!

The three states of Tennessee. Hence the flag and the way they stock their Supreme Court, plus also rotate it between Jackson, Nashville, and Knoxville.

Why the Fillion?

The Panama Canal runs NW to SE from the Atlantic to the Pacific. The Pacific side is east of the Atlantic side. That's why it's such a great trivia nugget.

Point Nemo is officially known as “the oceanic pole of inaccessibility,” or, more simply put, the point in the ocean that is farthest away from land. The spot is quite literally the middle of nowhere, surrounded by more than 1,000 miles of ocean in every direction.

Saint Pierre and Miquelon, officially the Territorial Collectivity of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, is a self-governing territorial overseas collectivity of France in the North-western Atlantic Ocean near the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is the only remaining vestige of French sovereignty in North America. Their official currency is the Euro.
