I'm always watching truck prices. But hey instead of a downvote, why don't you back up your $5k-$10k more claim.

ETA: Toyota's own website touts the Tundras low price compared to the competition lol

either they aren't similar or you are lying. Tundras are 5-10k more than comparable Ford's and GMs

Fully maxed out Tundra is like $51k, F-150 $69k, GMC $71k.

of course they do. They are going to come out and say, hey ours are more expensive.

Bit I will say I havent gotten into the details in 2 years. Bit I wouldn't imagine things would change that much.

Maxed out tundra doesn't compare to a Denali

What's your point? The cost of the vehicle is not some abstract concept easily verifiable. Ramrod's statement is ludicrous.

Besides the 6.2L option and I guess power running boards, The Tundra's highest trim levels offered equipment that you couldn't even get in a Denali until the 2019 model. Smart key, adaptive cruise, etc.

I don’t know about top of the line or anything as I’ve never compared features. But looking at the lower end that is easier to compare, the msrp is pretty close on base models and we all know Toyota barely moves and the domestics drop a ton.

Within 500 miles of me, the cheapest Tundra SR Double Cab is just under $29k. The cheapest F150 XL is just under $26k. But it's missing the V8 that the Tundra gets standard and a good bit of safety tech as well. The bottom line is the Tundra is not anywhere close to $10k more than equally optioned competition, in any trim.

It's a myth Toyota drivers sell to themselves to feel better bout their trucks.

I don’t think there’s a great difference in prices amongst the brands. Toyota might not mark up the sticker price as much as Chevy or Ford, but actual prices paid are probably very close.

2019 Denali doesn’t have adaptive cruise and they are getting dinged for it in reviews.

Even worse How do they leave that out when they have all this other stuff included between the Tech and Driver Alert packages?

This thread is seriously making me look at new trucks.

I told myself not until next year but I may have to break that.

I think the Ram looks sharp. I'm currently in a F150 and like it, but kind of in the market for a new truck. I'm not ruling a Ram out. The transmission issues that have plagued them have long been solved, even though people still use that as their go-to to bash Rams

In full sized trucks, I have owned a Ram, Nissan Titan, F-150 (current), and Silverado (current).

They were/are all good trucks, but the Dodge may have been my favorite.

I am a GMC guy so take this as my opinion. I think the 2019 Denali is the best looking of all the 1/2 tons, especially the Ultimate package.

That said they didn’t do enough to the interior to make it special IMO. There are things about my 2016 that I like more.

I'll be getting a 2019 Ram within the next 2 months. Haven't decided on which package to go with yet though. Love the new models.

I agree with this 100%. If money was no object, I'd get the 2019 now.

I just text my buddy that has a 2017 Tundra Platinum at the dealership he works at for a really reasonable price

Ram makes a good truck and is undoubtedly more reliable than the Ford products, especially the ones with Powerstrokes.

I prefer the looks of the new Sierra AT4 with the factory lift.

Will probably go Ram next. I hate they did away with the reclining back seats in the new Tundras. That wasn't the reason for the change just an observation.
