Raking your leaves into the ditch

2 of my neighbors were arguing about one of them raking his leaves into the ditch.
The mad one said that the leaves clog up the culverts and cause drainage problems and that he’d rather see them raked into a pile and burned.
Guess he’d rather smell the leaves burning than have water in his ditch.

He's right. because frick mosquitoes and stagnant water.
Or he could bag them for mulch, depending on where he lives. I wouldnt want to leave a burn spot in my front yard, but if I lived in the country I'd do it in the backyard.

Raking leaves into a ditch needed for drainage (like most are) is really dumb. If you don't have a good place to burn them safely or legally that probably means you are in a city with services that will pick them up when you bag them and put them on the curb and that is what you should do.
