What's it called when a black man burns down a black church but tries to make it look like a hate crime?

I just want your honest opinion on the people in your Louisiana circle. Do they hate other races?
No.
quote:

Or not hate, just no mixing?
No.
quote:

Or do they feel like their race is better?
No.
quote:

Or are they 100% totally cool with everything including dating and marriage of different races?
Yes.

You are a racist for even thinking those things. And other races don't need you to defend them.

I was born here and have lived in Louisiana all of my life. I grew up where Cajun turf meets redneck land.

7 pages later.

You need to travel and actually live other places. The south is way less racist than other parts of the country. The northeast is freaking racist as hell. They may not have the kkk, but they dont need it.

The midwest isn't really that racist. They just havent had as much exposure. My dads hometown(small farm town) had the first black person move in when I was in high school. Like 98 or so. It was a big deal, not really racist, just no exposure.

We have the opportunity to move around, travel, and get exposure to other cultures and ways of life.

Do it.

Go work in central city or NO east for a few months then tell me what you think. My plumber got robbed twice in a month in broad daylight at gun point

I never experienced any significant racism in Louisiana (or maybe I was too oblivious to notice it).

What part of Louisiana do you live in and how old are you? I ask because I don't want to say you're oblivious so I'm hopeful that you've found that place in Louisiana, because I haven't.

Perhaps it's the circle of people you surround yourself with. We do tend to see the world as being populated with peopleenerally like our friends.

Racism is an action. Disliking someone because of their race is prejudice.

Prejudice to a certain race is called racism.

But... I think LA has more black prejudice towards white people than anywhere else. I've seen few places that hate whitey as much as LA.

I've lived in a lot of places and this is more true for Louisiana than any other place I've lived in. South East Louisiana blacks are very butthurt over whites.

I was in NOLA for a conference last week and ran into some people from Monroe and one of the women in the group said she's not racist but she hates n**gers.

I've heard that one a few times myself but the person saying it usually throws in white trash in an attempt to equal it out.

so you are admitting black people can be racist too?

Can Black people be prejudice? Yes

Can black people be racist ? Yes but i tend to view racism through the use of force and power to legislate and impose discrimination on people based on their race.

There's also a huge difference between being apart of a group that has been misaligned and perpetually discriminated and the "ruling" class.

It's not a quite equal on a macro level, but yeah u can find racist people of all times on a micro level.

Not all groups have the same history.

It's not apples and apples as much as people want to believe it to be

This.

Our perceptions of others are based on our personal experiences and what we see or read in the media.

I personally don't know any muslims. My perception of them is based on what I've learned about them by reading news and watching videos and documentaries.
