What is your daily routine if you've been working from home for the past year?

Do you have to get dressed and log in at a certain time each morning and do some sort of video conference call with your boss? Do you have to check in throughout the day and log off at a certain time?

Or

Do you just roll out of bed, first start checking TD then start checking emails, voicemails and text messages, etc?

just roll out of bed, first start checking TD then start checking emails, voicemails and text messages, etc

If I’m not in front of me work computer, then I have my phone on me so I’ll know if I get an email or IM. The key is to turn the volume up so it will wake me up during one of my 3 daily naps.

When we were working from home over the summer, typically I would send an email at 7 A.M. to the boss so he knew I was online and then we had an office call at 9 AM to discuss taskings for the day and a wrap up call around 5 PM.

I wear a t-shirt and shorts. Try not to to schedule any meetings before 830am and after 4pm. I don't check in at any time.

I literally bring my kid to school at 8:00 then come home, surf the OT for a while, do a little bit of work, surf the OT, work a bit more, surf the OT, shite, chill on the backyard swing in the sunshine, take a walk, come back to work but I make sure to check the OT first.

Sometimes I make money, sometimes I don't. I should probably stop surfing the OT as much

We use Teams, so everyone in my group knows when everyone is online. I'm actually usually online earlier on the days I work from home than when I'm in the office.

I also use a program called wigglemouse to make sure my presence stays "online" on Teams when I'm away from my keyboard messing around in my garden and such. But I always get my work done on time, and have Teams on my phone so I can see any messages I get when outside in the event I need to respond right away.

We've had other folks who can't get their shite done on time so when they work from home, they have to have their camera on at all times. And a couple people have had their ability to work from home revoked.

That was pretty much my routine starting around 8:30 when schools were closed.

With school back in person, now I just go to the gym (and check TD there) when I would've normally been commuting then go home and start checking emails/voicemails.
