She said she would get on getting it installed last week and here I am seven days later and I still no mailbox.
Maybe she is waiting for it to come in the mail. but she doesn't have a mailbox either. I'd give her a call.

This made me laugh.

I'd ask about the blinds and mailbox. The towel holder and toilet paper holder? Not so much.

toilet paper holder
I guess I am literally the only person who values this.

Literally? The only person in existence that values a toilet paper holder? No.
Seriously though, they sound busy or have trouble getting worker to finish the job.
You need a mailbox and blinds. I'd keep it friendly maybe offer to install them and it'll put a little fire under them.

You didn't notice no blinds in the windows?
I did and she just mentioned that they were adding touch ups to the place and it would be totally complete by the time I moved in.
Let this be a lesson learned the hard way. When dealing with ANY business transaction, get it in writing. if you would have included this in the lease y'all signed you'd be covered, but now you are SOL.

This sounds like a new masculinity thing & there's thread covering this but just call her like a man would do.....OK pretend then.

When the rent is due, tell her you'll be late because you can't mail it.

Things like no blinds on the windows,
Ask her about the blinds. If she won't have them installed, put up aluminum foil or black garbage bags. I assume she is still trying to rent out the rest of the place, correct?

Watch King Pin and take it from there.

Rentals are not required to provide blinds. In fact, most don't. They're not required to provide you with toilet paper and towel holders either.
As far as a mailbox, they probably are required to provide that, but it's probably easier for you just to take care of it yourself vs. chasing after her for it.
Anytime I have rented a place and feel that I can make improvements that will benefit the landlord, I ask them to split the cost with me. Can't hurt asking. When I've left a place, I always offer them to buy from me (at a much reduced cost) any blinds, bathroom or lighting fixtures that I've installed.
The place that I just moved into DESPERATELY needed the interior trim painted. It wasn't something the landlord had to do, but I knew someone that would do it inexpensively, and I knew it would really improve the place. I asked, and the landlord agreed to split the $400 cost with me.
I also installed 2 ceiling fans, a dining room light, a kitchen light, a bathroom light, a bathroom mirror, and 6 window blinds. If they want to buy them from me when I leave, great. If not, I'll take it all down and put back up the crap that was there when I got the place.

I have rent houses and do provide these items, but do so more as an enticement. I probably would provide such as a courtesy if asked. Remember, good tenants are valuable to landlords and they want to do the things to keep their property rented. Money is lost when property is vacant.

I always go to bat for landlords. If you ever own property, you'll know why.
What kind of a-hole moves into a dump then starts asking for shite he can't afford? A renter.
You don't have blinds, huh? Tough shite. Should have rented a nicer place.

Be careful doing these sort of things. Most leases require permission from the landlord to make changes or alterations. What if you wired that light or fan wrong and the place burned down. Or you painted a wall and got paint on the moulding. Expenses from having to re-do work should come out of any deposit.

What he said.
You will be leaving the improvements or paying for them when you leave.

Seriously? Paint on the molding? Wipe it off.
You do not have to leave "improvements". Take them off and put the crap back on.

I love dumb renters like you. I'll keep your deposit then you'll post on here about whether you can sue me.
