I was at a gas station filling up and watched my sister pull in to the super one parking lot. She passed up 5 or 6 parking spots to wait for somebody to finish unloading their car. I put my gas cap back on, got in my car, and went park in one of the spots she had passed up. I waved at her when I walked past her still waiting.

It's not. Dude parked his Cherokee entirely too far away to prevent jerkwad Corvette guy from getting in on the drivers side. Fail. Either you make the a-hole who thinks he's entitled to 2 parking spots figure out a way to climb over the console, or wait until you let him out.

Anyone who does this is doing it incorrectly. Just turn hard as you go past the spot and then reverse easily into it.
Backing into a space means I can see more clearly when I leave.
And don't get me started on all the forward parkers who cut the corner because they didn't square their turn.

Who takes 4 tries to back in? Probably a woman.
It’s much safer to back into a spot where there is no foot traffic or a moving vehicle than to back out into children, people with carts, or other cars.
The only time I won’t back in is when parking in slanted spaces that are clearly meant to handle only cars that pull in.
