They have to stay, or the South will look like East St.Louis, Illinois.

When we get down to it. It’s not about race but class. I don’t care about skin color, I care whether you live a good life, are a good person, raise your kids correctly and aren’t a piece of trash.

I usually try to stay out of these threads, they always deteriorate into blazing dumpster fires that this place is famous for, but the irony of your comment is that you are making a sweeping, generalized observation that points directly back at you, I've been around, I've seen a lot of "diversity," if anything, southern and inner city US blacks have tried everything in the book, albeit unsuccessfully, to try to teach/coerce me to become a racist

You live in Leesville and you're asking why others don't move to where the grass is greener?

If the racial breakdown is not to your liking, you are free to move to Colorado, Washington, Idaho, Minnesota, Oregon, and anywhere else that is predominantly white.

Um pretty sure that’s called white flight and we’ve been doing it for decades. It’s racist though. But staying put and demanding better is also racist. And moving in and making things better is gentrification and again... racist.

Shouldn't you be posting this on Fark, Reddit, or DU so you can find the types you're addressing?

Pro-Segregationist Crowd

Is this an actual thing?

Absolutely.
There are white segregationists and black segregationists.
Only one of these two is deemed "bad" for America, though

I've lived in New York, New Jersey, Indiana, Mississippi, Louisiana, Colorado etc. I've lived abroad as well. Your claim that I have "no experience with black folk" is wrong. 50% of my business is black clientele, for instance. I am in black homes nearly every day including today.

ALL people "should be doing" two parent homes. The "small bubble" that is 75% of black kids being born out of wedlock is a NATION WIDE statistic. Not a Louisiana statistic. And that is THE issue facing black progress.

This. I have far more in common with TBirdSpur than I do some white trailer trash.

Culcha is colorblind, and I prefer to distance myself as far away as possible from it. Whether that be staying away from the ghetto, barrio, or meth'd up trailer park.

So, only offer scholarships to minorities? Do you mean "just black minorities"? Are Asian's minorities? What do "bad" neighborhoods" have to do with educational potential?

Because the post was a response to those who want a segregated school system, I based the comment on another way to integrate the school system besides forced busing that would not be intrusive.

I never said the scholarship to better schools would not be equal opportunity. Of cousres any race can take the exam. The goal is help students in bad schools get into better K12 systems via a merit based system.

Bad neighborhoods can stagnant a child's educational development. I agree that anyone can overcome a bad situation, but if we can alleviate the problem for the progress of society, why not try something that can help.
