And honestly , sometimes I wish I wasn't stuck in this office... Pro's and con's to everything... but for the most the perk's are nice.

And for the record - do what you gotta do to make that $..no judgment here... Just wasting time till I feel like leaving..

December is always slow here too. Not a lot going on from Thanksgiving until after New Years.

I worked a lot more remotely with my last job. I did IT consulting for almost a decade for a big software company and I traveled and worked at home more than I was in the office.

The only people being a pain in the arse is lazy PM's trying to finish the projects they put off before the fiscal year ends.

The carriers go into hibernation essentially.

if he makes a good salary, contributes a nice percentage (+10%), they have a nice percentage match (+5%), and he's been contributing since out of college.

that is certainly possible. and is a smart move on his part. i'm not sure what's so laughable about that.

Yes, it is certainly possible, but

that is a lot of assumptions, and most who feel the need to post their salary, worth, etc. are full of it

You’re right ... most.

And you still don’t know my salary, bonuses, etc. how long I’ve been contributing, amounts, anything. And it’s all based on the market anyway... here’s to Trump doing work!

Most of the posters here are high school educated residents of Livingston Parish. If they aren't financed to death and do contribute to a 401k, they don't understand how it works.

They barely fit on my Lexus LS500 that my OFFICE foots the note (as well as insurance, mileage, etc.) on. Sorry it took so long, was eating a steak that my OFFICE credit card pays for. I may leave early to take a nap as well; and no, I don't punch a time clock like you plant baws do, so I'm still getting paid.

i contribute 13% and am matched at 7%.
I understand exactly how it works, have a degree, and don't live within 4 hours of Livingston Parish.

that either makes me one in a million in your mind or you don't know what you're talking about. but i'm sure you will tell me one way or the other within 2 minutes of this response.
