Do any of y'all sleep in a separate bed/room from your wife? If so, why, and what's it been like? Input from LLotOT is also appreciated.

Luckily you have a tool on your personal that can act as a.....stop gap measure.....for her snoring

My in laws sleep in different rooms now because they're 70, arthritic, don't screw anymore and they both snore like lumberjacks with sinus infections.

I find it reasonable in their situation

Pretty much since we got a king sized memory foam bed a few months ago. Going up from a queen seems like we sleep alone. If I get close enough that my wife can sense me in the bed, she chews my head off. If we aren't doing it, I better not be close enough to where we might accidentally touch.

But in all serious, I only know one person like that. Have a cousin who's daughter started sleeping with them as a toddler. He hasn't slept in the bed since. Her and the mom sleep in the master and he has a separate room he sleeps in.

How would you know about your in-laws fricking habits?

Unless you are 60 or older don't do it unless you want a divorce.

Valid question.

By all accounts the olds jump each other's bones far more often than we young folks like to think about

My in laws sleep in separate rooms, but he has to wear the mask thing for sleep apnea and she can't sleep with its noise and him snoring. Seems to work fine for them, but they've been married for forever and the obviously have their reasons other than just to sleep in different rooms.

I don't know for sure, but if you knew them you'd agree with me

Even if they do screw, which I doubt, they definitely sleep in separate rooms after

I'm not married, but I plan on full court pressing the idea of separate beds if I ever do settle down. We can be in the same room, but I need cold temperatures and room to roam around.

Some people can't sleep with another person in the bed. I turn into an oven at night. The only way I can share a bed is if that person is okay with the AC on 65 and the fan on high to make up for how how they're going to make the bed. They also have to be okay with being woken up every time they snore.
